Direct Technologies was brought into customers environment to assist with a PC affected by ransomware. After being made aware of the situation at hand, Direct Technologies Engineers went to work to find an adequate and cost-effective solution for the problem presented. Our engineers were able to isolate the infected PC and discontinue the malware from spreading further throughout the organization. Our engineers identified the security breach in our customer’s network, along with several other vulnerabilities on their router/firewall. After learning of the added vulnerabilities, Direct Technologies engineers provided a backup solution for business-critical devices and documents. Our engineers then went to work installing a business class firewall with advanced unified threat management tools and profiles to secure the customer environment. Network monitoring and antimalware tools were also implemented as a real-time threat detection solution. Direct Technologies then completed a vital follow-up mission of educating the customer on best practice policies and procedures to aid in awareness and training.
